The Iwalewa Gallery of Art presents over 5,000 pieces of rare art
from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. The
Gallery lives in the heart of Lagos’ luxury site— Millions of people
also take part in The Iwalewa experience online.
Since its founding in 2017, The Gallery has always aspired to be
more than a treasury of rare and beautiful objects. Every day,
creativity and learning come alive in the galleries and through its
exhibitions and events, revealing new ideas and unexpected
connections across time and across cultures.
Our Goal
Our goal is to be the most visited art gallery in Nigeria and
the top tourist attraction in Africa. In addition to the
expected 7 million on-site visitors in 3 years to our galleries
and events in a typical year, the Gallery expects to have
nearly 5 million web visitors annually, over 2 million
followers on social media, and countless more who
participate in our robust slate of digital programs. We invite
