Obasi Prince [b. 1980’s] is a figurative visual based in PortHarcourt, Nigeria. Educated at the prestigious Yaba College of technology, Lagos State. Obasi Prince earned a Higher National Diploma[HND] in Fine Art, with a major in Painting 2009.
Embarking on his artistic journey, taught Visual Art in High Schools before transitioning into a full time studio artist in 2019.
He is a prolific painter, with unfathomable bond for acrylic, and charcoal as a medium to illuminate his own artistic language of contemporary figurative art, with a self discovered alteration of the human eyes. Obasi is famous for his square eyes of his figures, which in a joyful quirky war invites his large audience to his canvases. The immaculate details embedded in his dress and painted environments of his characters, makes his canvases a unique Essex for representation of human character
